Gippsland Water’s National Water Week poster competition is on again, giving students the chance to get creative and reflect on how they can care for water and Country.

This year’s National Water Week theme ‘Caring for water and Country’, aims to recognise and deepen our understanding of the connection First Nations people have had with water and land for over 65,000 years.

Local primary school students are invited to create a poster reflecting how they can care for water and Country now and in the future.

Individual prizes are up for grabs and the winning school will receive $500 to put towards a sustainability project.

National Water Week makes a splash across Australia in the third week of October each year. This year it will be held from 18 to 24 October 2021.

Entries must be submitted to Gippsland Water by Sunday 19 September 2021.

Entry form and further details are available at www.gippswater.com.au/education.
