Secondary school incursions
Our fun and interactive sessions will engage students and enhance their learning about a range of water topics.
Our sessions have been developed in consultation with local educators to ensure relevance to the Victorian curriculum.
We can tailor sessions to meet your learning goals, introduce new topics or reinforce existing learning.
Our experienced educator is skilled at simplifying concepts or extending learning, depending on where your students are at.
Sessions are free for schools within our service area.
Water in the World
This interactive session explores water as a renewable and precious natural resource. Concepts of water sanitation and water scarcity are investigated. Students learn how water is treated at their local water treatment plant and discover where their wastewater goes. We compare water in our region to parts of Asia and Africa. Students discover the huge difference access to clean water can make to the health and prosperity of communities.
Students are also challenged to see how clean they can get a sample of dirty water by creating their very own water filter.
