Artist Alice Pepper (centre) presents Gippsland Water healthy country lead Daniel Rodaughan and managing director Sarah Cumming with a copy of her artwork, Cultural Flow.

Gunnai artist and proud Koori woman Alice Pepper visited Gippsland Water’s Traralgon office this week to present a copy of her artwork, Cultural Flow.

Gippsland Water managing director Sarah Cumming met with Alice and shared the positive feedback the organisation has received about the artwork, and the importance of celebrating Traditional Owners and their connection to water.

Gippsland Water commissioned artworks from Alice Pepper and Mutti Mutti Bunurong artist Lakeisha Clayton to celebrate its ongoing partnership with the Traditional Custodians of the land it operates on.

Alice’s artwork has also been installed on signage at facilities on Gunaikurnai Country, and will feature as a mural on the Stratford water tower.

Lakeisha’s artwork, Water Connection, is featured on signage at facilities on Bunurong Country.
