Gippsland Water on the lookout for tomorrow’s engineers
Gippsland Water is offering tomorrow’s engineers the opportunity to secure local employment with an employer of choice, with the opening of its Graduate Engineering program.
Managing Director Sarah Cumming said the program is designed to create pathways into the organisation by offering graduates valuable experience and the opportunity to contribute directly to the local community.
“Under the guidance of experienced professional and technical mentors, participants will develop skills, knowledge and receive continual training to help guide them toward their future career goals in the Gippsland region,” Ms Cumming said.
As part of the 18 month professional development program, participants will rotate across various workgroups within the organisation’s core engineering areas including assets, operations, commercial business and business transformation departments.
Ms Cumming said that applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to provide the organisation with appropriate professional and technical advice, while demonstrating its corporate values.
“We’re interested in welcoming qualified graduates into our business who will help us deliver on the needs of our communities and drive sustainable environmental and financial outcomes,” Ms Cumming said.
“Alongside a fun and friendly working environment that promotes future career growth, we’re proud to offer graduates access to a range of health and wellbeing initiatives and flexible work arrangements,” Ms Cumming concluded.
Applications close at 9am on Tuesday 12 March.
