Maffra, Stratford and Boisdale urged to conserve water

blue tile saying conserve water

Gippsland Water is urging customers in Maffra, Stratford and Boisdale to put off any non-essential water use.

This is due to significant water quality changes in the Macalister River which is impacting our ability to treat the water to the usual standard.

Customers can help to conserve current water storages by delaying washing machine and dishwasher use, taking a shorter shower (aim for 4 minutes), avoid using baths, washing cars, filling pools and spas, watering gardens and the use of a high pressure hosing until further advised.

Customers can be assured their water is safe to drink.
