Community members are invited to join Gippsland Water’s online event to learn more about the water outlook for the region and plans to ensure water availability for the future.

Managing director Sarah Cumming said the online event will be held on Tuesday 23 February 2021 at 12.30pm.

“Attendees will hear about the plans we’re making to ensure we can continue to reliably service our urban and industrial water and wastewater customers for the next 50 years.

“It’s also an opportunity to learn more about the challenges we face, including climate change and population growth, and how to get involved in the development of our next Urban Water Strategy,” Ms Cumming said.

The session will be led by Gippsland Water’s Senior Water Resources Engineer Jolyon, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

All Victorian water corporations develop Urban Water Strategies, which identify what they need to do to ensure urban and industrial water availability in their region for the next 50 years.
