Gippsland Water is urging customers in Thorpdale to put off any non-essential water use.
This is due to a power outage which is impacting capabilities at Thorpdale pump station.
Customers can help to conserve current water storages by delaying washing machine and dishwasher use, taking a shorter shower (aim for 4 minutes), avoid using baths, washing cars, filling pools and spas, watering gardens and using high pressure hoses until further advised.
Customers can be assured their water is safe to drink.
